Families First brings out happy lives

As the name suggests…Familes come first, lives come first, people come first. Thank you Ian. It was great to know about the intensive support provided to families in the borough by Families First multi-agency service. The team workers aim to improve communication, information and developing problem-solving skills among people. The team supports families in becoming independent and taking charge of their lives. What we see is happy families. Together we will look towards building communities…where everyone feels confident and cared for.

We are with you… by spreading awareness of the noble work and finding ways to build, strong and resilient communities. Do we have any ideas which can help our community?

Appeal by Smith’s Wood community volunteers

The furniture project, managed by Ray Smitherman and other local community volunteers, based in Smith’s Wood, is desperate for unwanted furniture and houehold items. The project has helped over a 1,000 families since it began and is under increasing demand for furniture to support the most vulnerable families within the borough.

If you can ask your colleagues, family and friends if they have any unwanted, good quality, items they would like to donate, including any household goods such as saucepans, plates, cutlery etc., please email Ray (razor661@hotmail.com), and he will arrange collection.  On behalf of Ray and all the volunteers involved in this much needed project, thank you for your continued support.
